Liturgy of the Hour

If you are interested in beginning your day with a calm spirit and a peaceful mind and heart you just may want to join a small group who pray “The Liturgy of the Hours.“ As we pray these official prayers of the Church, our voices are united with Christians throughout the world who pray these prayers just as we do. Morning Prayers includes praying the psalms, reading scripture, singing songs of praise and thanksgiving to Our Lord Jesus Christ, Intercessions and petitions are offered for individuals, for our church leadership, for our parish community, for our country, for peace throughout the world, for the community of the sick, and for the many who can no longer pray for themselves. This Morning Prayer has been praying at Christ the King since 2010. Those who regularly attend say it is a perfect environment to join with others who share the same faith and life values as we do, and occasionally to share after service fellowship with each other. We hope you will consider joining us some morning and experience this ancient form of adoration, we believe if you do, you might become a regular participant. All are welcome, are you interested?

The Morning Prayer Group meets every Monday through Friday at 8:45 AM for 20-25 minutes in Christ the King Church in Mary’s Chapel.
